Peyton Manning won’t serve as a commentator for “Monday Night Football” this fall but he’s going to continue his working relationship with ESPN.
Manning announced last month that ESPN hoped to film a second season of Peyton’s Places “once things get back to normal.” On ESPN’s official Twitter account on Wednesday, Manning announced that a second season has been officially confirmed.
“Hi there, Peyton Manning here,” Manning said in the Twitter video. “I’m here to celebrate National Day of Streaming. Now, you’re probably saying to yourself, ‘Isn’t every day National Day of Streaming these days?’ And I think you’re right — but this is actually the official one.
“So, in honor of the occasion, I’m thrilled to announce that Peyton’s Places will be returning to ESPN Plus for a second season. That’s right, so be sure to get ESPN Plus so you can stream Peyton’s Places Season 1 and get ready for the upcoming Season 2. Thanks very much, stay safe.”
The 30-episode first season received mostly positive reviews from fans.
Manning, 44, won Super Bowls with the Colts and Broncos during his 18-year career. He will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
