ESPN announces broadcast crew for Broncos’ season opener against Raiders

ESPN announced Wednesday that Steve Levy (play-by-play), Brian Griese (analyst), Louis Riddick (analyst) and Laura Rutledge (sideline reporter) will call the Denver Broncos’ season-opening road game against the Oakland Raiders on Sept. 7.

That game will be part of a Week 1 “Monday Night Football” doubleheader, taking place after the Houston Texans face the New Orleans Saints. ESPN’s No. 1 crew (Joe Tessitore, Booger McFarland and Lisa Salters) will call the first game, which is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. MT.

Denver’s game is scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m. MT. Fans will be able to stream the games using the WatchESPN app.

“The Monday Night Football doubleheader presents a unique opportunity to try new booth pairings by combining our talented NFL and college football voices into one presentation,” Stephanie Druley, ESPN executive vice president, event and studio production, said in a statement.

“This team will bring together Steve and Brian, one of our top college booths, with Louis, who has distinguished himself in our NFL studio, and Laura, who continues to excel in her many reporting assignments.”

This will mark the 28th consecutive season the Broncos have played on “Monday Night Football,” the longest active streak in the NFL.
