ESPN analyst says he’s OK after frightening set collapse

Carlos Orduz, a journalist who works on ESPN Colombia, tweeted that he wasn’t injured badly in an accident that looked horrifying to television viewers.

During a broadcast, a piece of the set fell down over Orduz’s back, slamming him against the desk he was sitting at. Cameras immediately cut away.

But Orduz tweeted Wednesday that he was only bruised and took “a blow to the nose (no fracture),” per a translation of the tweet.

“To those who wrote to me and greeted me about the accident last night,” he said, “I must tell you that I am fine, thank God after the medical check-up.”

Thank goodness he was OK after that.
