ESL One Birmingham 2026: Schedule, results, standings, teams, and more

The ESL One Birmingham 2026 is definitely among the most prestigious Dota 2 tournaments in the calendar, as 16 of the world’s best teams clash for a $1 million prize pool, with the playoffs taking place live in front of a crowd.

PARIVISION are looking to add another ESL One trophy to their cabinet after winning at Raleigh last year. But they face stiff competition against DreamLeague Season 28 champions Tundra Esports as well as Team Yandex, who are riding high after their recent triumph at PGL Wallachia Season 7.

Other top contenders chasing the title, prize money, and valuable ESL Pro Tour points include Team Spirit, Team Falcons, and MOUZ. One surprising absence is Team Liquid, whose impressive eight-year ESL streak ended after falling to MOUZ in the Western Europe Closed Qualifier.

Here’s everything you need to know to keep up with the action at the Dota 2 ESL One Birmingham 2026, happening as part of the DreamHack gaming festival.

ESL One Birmingham 2026 format

The tournament is divided into group stage and playoffs. During the group stage, 16 teams are split into two groups of eight and compete in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group earn a spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the third- and fourth-placed squads start in the lower bracket. The bottom four from each group are eliminated.

Come the playoffs, the eight remaining squads battle in a double-elimination format. All matches in the playoffs are best-of-three series, except for the grand final, which is played as a best-of-five to determine the champion.
