The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has issued an interim suspension against CS2 team SENZA (also known as “Rosy,” following its acquisition by SENZA Esports) and all rostered players, coaches, and staff.
The suspension applies to all ESIC member events and tournaments adopting the ESIC Integrity Program, and will remain in effect while an investigation into alleged integrity breaches is ongoing.
According to ESIC, the decision follows suspected violations of its Anti-Corruption Code and Code of Conduct, “including possible use of outside information, betting misconduct, and account irregularities.”
The commission clarified that the interim suspension is “a precautionary integrity measure and does not constitute a finding of guilt,” and will stand until the investigation concludes or ESIC decides to lift the suspension.
ESIC launches investigation into alleged breaches by former SENZA CS2 roster
ESIC revealed that the inquiry focuses on several key issues, including the alleged use of unauthorized external information during matches, potential betting-related misconduct tied to games involving the team, and possible account-sharing and identity discrepancies.
SENZA has been formally informed of the suspension, and ESIC has issued “formal interrogatories and data requests” to all relevant parties.
Throughout the investigation, the organization confirmed that all rostered players, coaches, and staff are barred from participating in ESIC-sanctioned or affiliated events. Tournament operators have been urged to enforce the suspension accordingly.
The commission stated that all parties under investigation “will be given a defined response window to provide information and materials requested by ESIC.” Once this phase is complete, ESIC will review the evidence and issue a formal outcome, followed by a public statement.
“ESIC will make no further comment at this stage in order to preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation,” the organization said.
Following ESIC’s announcement, the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT), a lower-tier CS2 circuit where SENZA regularly competed, confirmed it had rescinded all current and future invitations to the team in compliance with the suspension.
SENZA has been a frequent competitor in Europe’s lower-tier online scene, including events such as the CCT, Exort The Proving Grounds, and the European Pro League. However, the organization has been surrounded by controversy in recent past.
In September, SENZA launched an internal investigation into player Kirsan “byek” Ivanov following allegations of account sharing and cheating. After Ivanov refused to comment on the matter, the team imposed a fine of approximately $30,000 and removed him from the roster. By the end of the month, SENZA announced it had parted ways with its entire lineup and introduced a new roster on Oct. 3.
The former Rosy squad had already drawn attention from the CS2 community after ENCE analyst Fisic0 had posted annotated clips on X (formerly Twitter) suggesting possible cheating by the lineup.
ESIC’s suspension of SENZA emphasizes its ongoing commitment to safeguarding integrity within esports, as investigations into potential betting and match-fixing misconduct continue to plague the competitive scene.
