ESIC adds Stake as official anti-corruption partner

Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has joined hands with Stake, a top crypto-based online casino and sportsbook platform, in a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening anti-corruption efforts across competitive gaming.

With this move, Stake becomes one of the association’s official tier one anti-corruption partners by joining its Anti-Corruption Supporter program, which “brings together key industry stakeholders who contribute directly to the detection, analysis, and investigation of suspicious betting activity.”

“ESIC’s Anti-Corruption Supporter program relies on the active collaboration of partners like Stake, whose operational insights contribute directly to our ability to identify and mitigate integrity threats,” Stephen Hanna, CEO of ESIC, said in a press release. “Together, we are building a stronger foundation of trust and accountability that supports the sustainable growth of esports worldwide.”

The program works through “data sharing, operational cooperation, and collaborative monitoring” to boost ESIC’s ability to detect and tackle integrity concerns and betting-related misconduct in the world of esports. As a partner, Stake will help boost ESIC’s integrity monitoring network, promising “transparency, accountability, and sustainability” in the fight against unruly practices.

Beyond its growth in the betting sector, Stake has become a recognised name within the esports community. Often mentioned alongside some of the best esports betting sites for its competitive odds and crypto-enabled features, the platform is also frequently included in industry recommendations for the best online casinos.

Further, Stake has recently partnered with Team Vitality, a top esports organisation, reflecting its expanding involvement and influence within the competitive gaming space.

“As the world’s leading online-first betting operator, supporting the industry is central to our strategy and our scale makes this collaboration with ESIC essential to safeguarding its integrity,” Jarrod Febbraio, Director of Stake, said, validating the collaboration’s significance. “Together, we’re ensuring the ecosystem remains fair, transparent, and trusted by fans and participants worldwide.”

The move comes as part of ESIC’s broader strategy to strengthen integrity frameworks across the rapidly growing esports ecosystem. The commission has previously welcomed other betting operators, like Thunderpick, 1xBet, Oddin, BETER, and many more, under its Anti-Corruption Supporter program.

ESIC partnering with an industry giant like Stake signals a powerful step toward safeguarding esports from unethical influence, reinforcing the industry’s commitment to clean and fair competition. Such initiatives set firmer standards against corruption in tournaments and protects future growth.
