Escaped prisoner on route to Edinburgh is still on the loose as Police Scotland release new pictures

New pictures of an escaped prisoner who was on his way to Edinburgh have been released by Police Scotland

Steven Ross, a prisoner in HMP Addiewell, Livingston, escaped from police while being escorted to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary Hospital.

New images have been released of the 33 year old prisoner who Police are warning the public "not to approach"

It is believed that the escaped prisoner has either travelled to, or may be in the Glasgow area, although he is also known to have other links across Scotland.

Steven Ross escaped from his escort on 11 March, 2020 at around 5.20pm after fleeing from a Police escort which was meant to be taking him to Edinburgh.

He is being described as: "5ft 9ins tall, slim build, dark brown hair with a distinctive tramline and when last seen he was wearing a black beanie hat, black jacket, black shorts and grey Nike trainers with a distinctive green sole."

Superintendent Mark Rennie, said: “It has now been a week since Steven escaped and we are continuing to appeal for any information that will help trace him.

“I would like to advise members of the public to not approach Steven Ross if you do see him, but instead, contact police immediately.

Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 2686 of Wednesday, 11 March, 2020.
