Escaped horse on M8 motorway prompts police search and warning to drivers

A horse has escaped onto the M8 motorway in the middle of rush hour traffic this morning.

Drivers have been warned to take care and drive with caution until the animal has been safely recovered.

The horse made its escape onto the carriageway between J6 and J4. Traffic Scotland became aware of the incident at around 8.20am

Cardonald flood prevention plans submitted to Glasgow City Council  

Police are attending the scene to try and find the horse.
