Escaped Hatton Garden suspect 'is ex-policeman'

A mystery suspect who escaped after the Hatton Garden heist is a former policeman, one of the plot's ring leaders has claimed.

The escaped raider, known as 'Basil', is believed to be the "brains" behind the operation, according to a letter received by Sky News.
