Escape To The Country's Jules baffles couple by leaving them to view house alone

Escape To The Country presenter Jules Hudson left a couple confused as he got them to view a house on their own.

The 51-year-old was showing Jennifer and Graham options for a dream home in Herefordshire when the moment occurred.

With a budget of £700,000, the duo was looking for a spacious home with at least three bedrooms and a garage or workshop.

Discussing their decision to move, Jennifer explained: “It had been in the back of our minds for a long time about one day, perhaps, living the dream in Herefordshire. It wasn’t until lockdown, however, that really gave us the opportunity for us to do this.

“Key things we’re looking for is space, inside and outside, for friends and family and all the things we’d like to do.”

Jules showed the couple three houses, which he let them look through on their own, but the final property was when he decided to leave Jen and Graham to their own devices.

“That works really quite well,” Graham said of the open space and dining area.

Considering the house came with eight acres, Jules told the couple there were another two storeys to explore.

“That’s your cue, there are the stairs, off you go!” he said at the Myster House in The Bage as he leant on a wall and left the couple alone.

Jennifer and Graham were confused but ended up going upstairs to check out the rest of the home.

The home, which is located in The Golden Valley, has a big kitchen, dining room, utility room, office, garden and a number of outbuildings.

It was on the market for £645,000 which was perfect for the couple’s budget.

When the couple met up with Jules again to discuss what they thought of the homes, Jennifer and Graham revealed that the final home was something they could “get their teeth into” and that they were considering buying it.

Escape to the Country airs on weekdays at 3pm on BBC One.
