The stars of Escape to the Chateau are finally able to return to the UK to visit family ahead of their new series airing.
Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree have been television stars since in 2016 when the Channel 4 show first aired.
It follows the pair as they transform their 19th-century chateau in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France.
Strawbridge, 62, and Adoree, 43, haven’t returned to the UK since before the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Covid has torn them apart from their family.
The couple - who share two children Arthur, eight, and Dorothy, seven - have confirmed they are finally coming back to the UK.
They told their 174k followers on Instagram: “Next week we will be packing our final bits and heading over to the UK.
“It’s been nearly two years since we visited loved ones and we are going to spend time seeing friends and family.
“Facetime, Zoom.. chatting on the phone has kept us connected, but there is nothing like a hug and sharing that moment together.
“We can’t wait to meet new additions to our family, tell stories and cheers loved ones that are not here and with that in mind we plan to enjoy every moment.”
It comes after the couple confirmed they would be returning for a new series of the show this weekend.
The post said: “The Strawbridges are making their long awaited return to @Channel4 on Sunday, 24th October at 8pm… for a brand new 8 part series of Escape to The Chateau!
