Escape to the Chateau's Dick Strawbridge speaks out after fans raise Christmas concerns

Dick Strawbridge has addressed the fears of fans as they expressed concerns about his family's Christmas plans.

The 62-year-old Escape to the Chateau star is preparing for this year's festivities and Channel 4 viewers saw him and wife Angel Adoree along with their two children, Arthur, eight, and Dorothy, seven, getting their home prepared for Christmas.

The busy family sparked concerns among the viewers that they wouldn't find time to enjoy the magic of the festive season.

Dick took to Twitter though to try and allay these fears as he asserted that the family would not miss out.

Ahead of the Christmas special of the popular documentary series, Dick wrote on Twitter: "Half an hour until the last #EscapeToTheChateau of the series and it’ll hopefully get you in the Christmas spirit!!!

“We’ve already had a couple of mulled wines and are definitely feeling Christmassy….”

There were worries among fans though, with one asking whether they would have time to relax.

They tweeted to the Chateau owner: "I’m so glad to hear that.

“I often wonder if you ever get a chance to settle in with a wee glass, you are so busy, merry Xmas to your glorious family.”

Dick replied to them: "Linda fear not we always make time together…”

This was pleasing to hear for the fan of the show, who wrote back: "How marvellous to hear.

“My wonderful dad passed away last year and we adored watching you guys together.

“It brings me such joy for you to say that. It was his biggest worry.”

Dick and Angel had an early festive gift for their fans when they previously revealed a "Christmas announcement".

The couple announced that they will be coming to the UK next year with their 'Dare To Do It Tour'.

Posting on social media, they wrote: "Dick, Angel, Arthur & Dorothy are travelling the UK to share all things Chateau, and the story of how and why they dared to do it!"

They continued: “With plenty of fun, laughter and surprises along the way. What a treat this would be for your loved one to open this Christmas."
