Escape To The Chateau star Dick Strawbridge revealed more than he intended to when he joked about his wife's underwear in their latest video.
The couple, who own a 19th century French property, were filming a behind-the-scenes video called The Salon when he made the cheeky reference.
Showing off the chateau's walled garden, the former lieutenant colonel, 61, revealed that his wife Angel, 43 (who he calls Angela), had developed a love for the outdoors.
"Angela is now a closeted gardener," Dick said proudly.
"When we have some times with the kids on a Sunday, you will be out here pottering in the garden - come on, we're listening to you."
Angel agreed, "I have really enjoyed pottering in the garden - I do things without being told, like weeding."
This made Dick raise his arms in joy and exclaim, "My work here is done."
The couple are dressed in practical clothing, although Angel stands out with her trademark red hair and red lips.
While practical Dick has been hands-on with the renovations and the rural life, it seems that it took Angel, a businesswoman from London who loves to wear flamboyant vintage styles, a little longer to adjust to her new location.
Dick said with a smile: "You can go from the East End, you take her - you take off her stilettos and her high heels and get rid of the old suspender belt.
He continued: "You can make her wear boots and work in the garden. How stupid am I?"
A red-faced Angel didn't respond, just looked at her husband with a mixture of embarrassment and affection.
The couple bought the dilapidated French property in 2015, and have been filmed renovating it ever since, turning it into a luxury wedding destination. It has 12 acres of land, seven outbuildings, five floors with 45 rooms, six chimneys and 15 fireplaces.
Angel continued: "Nature, before we came out here, was a walk around Victoria Park [in East London] or along a canal."
“But when we were in London, that was nature,” Dick added.
His wife agreed: “And it was gorgeous. We had a roof garden with a shed. But look, this is your area, sweetheart.”
The video then follows Dick into his greenhouse, where he proudly shows off his Muscat grapes, tomatoes and cucumbers.
The couple's children, son Arthur and daughter Dorothy, then join them in the garden.
