Escape To The Chateau's Angel Strawbridge in 'foul-mouthed rant to producer' in leaked audio

Escape To The Chateau's Angel Strawbridge reportedly launched into a foul-mouthed tirade towards a producer in leaked audio recording.

This comes after Channel 4 previously announced it had cut ties with Angel and husband Dick Strawbridge after nine seasons of Escape To The Chateau. A TV insider claimed the couple were 'spiky' and 'volatile' behind the scenes of the popular home renovation show.

Following accusations of their conduct, a leaked recording of Angel was obtained by Deadline where she can reportedly be heard calling a producer a “f****d up little c**t.”

During the audio clip, Angel can reportedly be heard questioning producers about a delay to her schedule before accusing one of the unnamed crew members of posting images on Instagram of a man who had a likeness to her husband, Dick.

“Who is that inspired by when you’re f*****g working at the chateau? Just tell me that and then you can f*****g leave and this is me f*****g angry because I think you’re a f****d up little c**t,” she said.

Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree will no longer work with Channel 4 (Channel 4)

The audio is believed to be recorded from one of the first four seasons of Escape to the Chateau. Elsewhere in the recording, Angel said that her husband Dick talked to people like “s**t,” to which a producer responded: “And I don’t like that either.”

A spokesperson for Channel 4 said: “Channel 4 is taking an active role in challenging unacceptable behaviour in our industry. Following a review of our processes in 2021 we have made it easier to raise complaints both formally and informally.

"We require all our production partners to follow our Supplier Code of Conduct and when concerns are raised with us, they will be taken seriously and action will happen to ensure they are investigated and addressed appropriately.

"There is always more to do and alongside our suppliers we are committed to building safe, inclusive and professional working environments.”

Following their Channel 4 axe, sources told the Daily Mail that the pair were "volatile" and hid their genuine personalities on screen.

An insider said: "Dick and Angel come across on screen as the most gorgeous and lovely couple, literally like butter wouldn't melt, but they're not like that off screen. They're just spiky and volatile people - and as you can imagine, that's a nightmare to work with."

A representative for Channel 4 told the Mirror recently: "Following a review we have taken the decision to not work with Dick and Angel on any new productions in the future," whilst Two Rivers Media also confirmed that they won't be working with the couple.

"We can confirm that we will no longer work with Dick and Angel and cannot comment further at the moment," a representative for the production company told the Mirror last week in a statement.

Deadline had previously reported there was a " deteriorating relationship" between the pair and the production company. "There has been a deteriorating relationship between Two Rivers and Dick and Angel’s Chateau TV for various reasons and it all came to a head,” said a source familiar with the situation told the publication recently.
