Following the shooting of a man outside the shopping centre in Donaghmede on Tuesday evening, Labour Senator Aodhán Ó Riordáin has said that the Government are unable to keep gangland crime under control in the capital.
Gardai were called to the scene after shots were fired at a man shortly after 5pm.
The man escaped unharmed and no injuries were sustained during the attack according to Gardai.

Senator Ó Ríordáin described the shooting as "reckless" and said that it's time for the Minister for Justice to step in.
He said: "This shooting follows a recent killing in Darndale, a pipe bomb in Edenmore, and the shocking feuding we have seen in Drogheda.
"Consistently I have raised through Seanad commencement debates the need for increased Garda resources on the Northside.

"Do we have to wait for an incident similar to what happened a fortnight ago in Drogheda before we get a parade of the Minister and senior Gardai?
"Will he only react when incidents reach a level of shock that he has no choice?"
He also questioned why the Northside is being ignored by the Minister.
Senator Ó Ríordáin concluded: "These are no ordinary crimes that don't deserve the attention of the Minister for Justice. He can no longer ignore the escalation in serious crime.
"It is time to take on the escalating number of gun shootings by committing the resources to tackle this once and for all."
