ERT back at Greenbank in September

Nick Ball will be among those who will be back in the ring when the boxing season starts again.

The Everton Red Triangle starlet has been named alongside a stellar cast of upcoming local talents to feature on a show at Greenbank Sports Academy in Liverpool.

The show, promoted in association with Black Flash Promotions, is set to have 13 fights on it and is likely to be screened exclusively live on British Boxers TV.

The aforementioned Ball, who has raced to 9-0 as a pro and was last in action in May, will be looking to get into double figures on the bill on September 21.

Andrew Cain, Meshech Speare, Harry Woods and Carly Skelly, all of whom boxed on the May card at the same venue, have been added, while former ABA senior elite bantamweight champion Brad Strand will fight for the second time after having his last contest scrapped at the 11th-hour due to an issue with his opponent.

Jack McKinlay will make his debut on the bill and will be joined by Connor Butler, classy youngster James Heneghan –– who was forced out of his last fight earlier this month at the Eventim Olympia in Liverpool through illness –– and Jonathan Walsh.

There is also action slated for a trio of guest debutants in the shape of Mikey Hedges, Billy Potter –– who was also set to feature on the MTK show –– and Junior Thompson.
