Police have shut down the Erskine Bridge due to an 'ongoing incident' this afternoon.
The bridge is currently closed in both directions with all approaching traffic being diverted.
The nature of the police incident is unknown at this time, however Glasgow Live has contacted Police Scotland for comment.
Traffic Scotland tweeted at 11.50am: "The Erskine Bridge is currently CLOSED in both directions due to an ongoing police incident.
"Traffic is slow on the approach to the bridge so do expect delays!"

The INRIX traffic monitoring service advises: "A898 Erskine Bridge in both directions closed due to strong winds and police incident between M898 (Erskine) and A82 (Kilpatrick)."
The incident comes as Storm Malik batters Scotland and causes travel chaos across the country, with a weather warning in place.
A stretch of the M74 at Lesmahagow remains closed following a serious accident involving an overturned lorry. Furthermore, a section of the the River Clyde has burst its banks in Glasgow as Scotland is hit by the adverse weather.
UPDATE: The bridge has now reopened and a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the bridge had to be closed due to high winds.
They said: "The bridge is closed due to the weather as items and debris had been blown onto the bridge so it had to be closed."
