Errol Spence Jr and Shawn Porter meet in tonight's blockbuster welterweight unification bout.
With four different champions currently holding gold, the welterweight division is stacked with some huge unification fights just waiting to be made. IBF champion Spence and WBC belt holder Porter are the first to pair off, with Manny Pacquiao (WBA) and Terence Crawford (WBO) also chasing more gold.
Spence comes off the back of an utterly dominant performance over Mikey Garcia in March, a win that extended ‘The Truth’s’ professional record to 25-0 having taken his IBF strap from Kell Brook two years ago.
Porter lost that very same title to Brook back in 2014 – but rebounded to win a second world title after edging past Danny Garcia in August 2018.
Whoever comes out on top this weekend will hold 50 percent of the world championships at 147 lbs – and take a major step to being crowned the best one of boxing’s most compelling division’s has to offer.
