On Saturday in Arlington, Texas from AT&T Stadium, IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence puts his title on the line against IBF lightweight champion Mikey Garcia. The latter is stepping up in weight and the two men both weighed in within the welterweight championship limit.
Spence and Garcia stepped back on the scales on Saturday. Neither man could rehydrate beyond 157 pounds in accordance with the IBF’s second-day weigh-in rule. Per FOX’s Mike Coppinger, Spence was about 3.5 pounds heavier than Garcia.
Both Errol Spence Jr. and Mikey Garcia stepped on the scale again at 8 a.m. today for their IBF-mandated second-day weigh-in. Mikey weighed 152; Spence was 155.5. Neither fighter could surpass 157 (10 pounds over the 147 limit)

Truthfully, there is even more weight the two fighters could add by the time they climb into the ring on Saturday night. When the fight begins, there is no telling how much bigger Spence will be when compared to Garcia. I’d expect there to be a major visible size difference.
According to reports, both fighters are set to be paid $8 million apiece for the pay-per-view event. The major topic of discussion around this fight is size disparity. Spence is much bigger naturally and there is concern Garcia has been blown up in an effort to compete in a weight class above his best weight class.
However, his skill level is such, it’s hard to discount his ability to pull the upset. Spence is a minus-380 favorite and Garcia is a plus-290 underdog. The two men are expected to climb into the ring around midnight ET on FOX PPV.
