Eros Grezda transfer details as Rangers speculate winger could earn another big move

Osijek chief Alen Petrovic has revealed Rangers inserted a sell-on clause into the Eros Grezda sale.

The Albanian winger endured a torrid time at Ibrox and has now returned to his previous club in Croatia.

New sporting director Ross Wilson has been tasked with trimming Steven Gerrard 's bloated squad and Grezda's departure could be the first of many.

He arrived in August 2018 for £1.35million but made just 17 first-team appearances - all of which came last season.

But, should he earn another move away from Osijek, Rangers will be entitled to a portion of the fee.

Petrovic said: "We brought him back as a symbolic move and Rangers will get a percentage of a future transfer.

"Financially, it is great business and I believe that Grezda will go one step further and sell himself.

"We are only at this moment interested in registering him for the second half of the season."

Grezda's Ibrox career effectively ended in September after he was accused of spitting on Ballymena United player Andrew Burns while representing Rangers' Colts in the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Cup.

The 24-year-old later apologised for the incident.

Following his departure earlier on Tuesday, Grezda posted a farewell message to Rangers on Instagram.

He wrote: "Sometimes in life things dont go as we wish , but important thing is to never give up on your dreams !!! Wishing all the best to my teammates and club. #watp #55"
