Eros Grezda suffers fresh blow as Rangers flop told he'll never play for his country again

Rangers flop Eros Grezda has been told he'll never play for Albania again.

The winger has no future at Ibrox and hasn't featured for his country since walking out of their camp in June for 'personal reasons'.

He has apologised to manager Edoardo Reja but - similarly to Rangers boss Steven Gerrard - the Albania manager isn't willing to give him another chance.

Walking out on a Euro 2020 double header with Iceland and Moldova led to a public row between the pair with Grezda insisting he was always available to play for his country, despite 74-year-old Italian-born Reja's denial.

And now Reja has revealed Grezda won't play again while he's in charge.

He said: "Grezda made a personal choice. When he told me he wanted out of the team I said to him he was free to go. He then made some wild claims and left.

"Later, he apologised, but it's too late for that.

"He should have communicated to me that he had a problem. We have other options now and we have made them.

"He didn't want to pay for the team so that is his problem. I don't respond well to his complaints.

"The door is closed on him while I am the manager. I want to concentrate on those who want to play for Albania."
