Eros Grezda leaves Rangers as Albanian flop rejoins former club Osijek

Rangers flop Eros Grezda has left the club and rejoined Osijek on a permanent deal.

The Albanian winger hasn't played for the Ibrox club since April last year, with manager Steven Gerrard criticising his conduct.

He featured for Rangers' Colts in the Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup but was involved in a spitting incident against Ballymena and was left out of the quarter-final win over Wrexham.

Grezda has proven to be an expensive flop in Glasgow having joined from Osijek in a £2m deal in the summer of 2018.

He was initially injured after making the move and didn't make his debut until a cameo appearance in a 4-0 win over Dundee in September 2018.

After that he made just 17 appearances for the club in total, grabbing two goals against Motherwell in a 7-1 victory at Ibrox.

His last game also came against the Fir Park club as a second half sub in the 3-0 win in April.

The 24-year-old's Rangers career was effectively ended after a bounce game against Liverpool in the same month.

Grezda, Kyle Lafferty and Borna Barisic were all hooked at half time with a team filled with fringe players 4-0 down against Liverpool's U23s.

Barisic has managed to turn his career around since after apologising to the manager and knuckling down during pre-season.

Greza, meanwhile, joins Andy King in leaving Ibrox in this window.
