KOCHI: Ernakulam on Tuesday reported 1,099 new Covid-19 positive case. Test positivity rate touched 6.2%. As many as 11 INHS staff, two guest workers and 13 healthcare workers were also tested positive. Highest number of cases of the day was reported from Vadakkekara (92), followed by Tripunithura (51) and Pallippuram (41).
Less than five cases were reported from 44 places in the district. The number of patients undergoing treatment at hospitals and at houses touched 18,845 on Tuesday.
As many as 36,417 people are under home quarantine. On Tuesday, 24,035 doses of vaccine were inoculated. Of this, 4,575 were first doses and the rest second doses. With this, 43,46,847 doses of vaccines were administered in the district so far.
