Erling Haaland wanted by Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes decision on wonderkid

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly decided he wants to make Erling Braut Haaland his next Manchester United signing.

The Norwegian striker has 26 goals in 18 games in all competitions with seven in the Champions League.

He's been a revelation since moving to Red Bull Salzburg and top European clubs are interested in signing him.

Solskjaer managed him at Molde and Norwegian paper Dagbladet say they are ready to make a move for him now.

Solskjaer has reportedly put a message around to his bosses at Old Trafford that he wants a reunion with Haaland.

United are looking for attacking reinforcements to replace Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

It's unlikely Haaland will move in January as he chases silverware with Salzburg.

Haaland's dad Alf-Inge played for Manchester City and was famously injured by United legend Roy Keane.

Haaland junior is also a big fan of Solskjaer having said: "He has had a huge impact on my life, both as a person and as a trainer.

"He won the Champions League and was an incredibly good player. He has taught me a lot."
