Erling Haaland transfer news as Borussia Dortmund chief speaks out on Manchester City and Chelsea target

Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke insists Erling Haaland will not leave in the summer - no matter how many interviews his agent does.

The Norwegian striker is seen as one of the hottest properties in Europe and has a reported £68million release clause in his contract.

However, that does not become active until 2022 so Dortmund could sell for more if they decided to this summer.

Father Alf Haaland and agent Mino Raiola have already met with Barcelona and all of Europe's top clubs are believed to be keen.

Both Manchester City and Chelsea have been linked but the Dortmund managing director insists that Haaland will stay.

Asked about Raiola's latest interview Watzke told Sport1: "I don't even read through all of this. I've known Mino for a long time and get on well with him.

"You have to accept his peculiarities. But he also knows the peculiarities of Borussia Dortmund.

"He can give a new interview every day it's no problem for us.

"Erling Haaland will also be a BVB player next year.

"The way he cheered in the stands shows how much he identifies with the team.

"There was a conflict of interest with Robert Lewandowski too. We stayed tough and Robert accepted that.

"The following season he became the top scorer. I trust Erling to do that too. "
