Erling Haaland to Newcastle United transfer rumour squashed but Bayern, Chelsea and Barcelona deals are ON

Erling Haaland won't consider a move to mega money Newcastle United, according to a German transfer insider.

But the club ARE weighing up moves for Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule, Chelsea's Timo Werner and Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho in the first signs of rumbling transfer activity using their vastly expanded coffers.

Last week the St James' Park side shot up football's rich list after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and Amanda Staveley's PCP Capital Partners bought out Mike Ashley.

The new owners' exorbitant wealth - combined with frugal Ashley's past approach that has given Newcastle plenty of Financial Fair Play wiggle room - means they are set to spend big in the coming transfer windows.

But it seems the message from Norwegian striker Haaland's camp is that a Toon move doesn't interest him.

His ridiculous goal record has continued into the new season with 11 goals in only eight games so far and Manchester City, Real Madrid and plenty of other superclubs are interested.

Bild's head of sport Christian Falk, an authority on the German transfer market, is adamant Haaland isn't considering Newcastle as a serious destination.

But he has given his famous "true" nod of approval to Sule, who is out of contract this summer.

He also claims Germany frontman Werner plus former Bayern man Coutinho, two stars who have struggled at their current clubs of late, are in talks.
