Erling Haaland storms off after Borussia Dortmund match amid Manchester United and Man City transfer talk

Erling Haaland was not a happy man on Saturday despite his latest goal scoring exploits for Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland netted twice but Dortmund were held to a 2-2 draw by FC Koln in the Bundesliga clash.

The 20-year-old striker - believed to be a transfer target for Manchester United and Manchester City among others - opened the scoring early on but Koln hit back to lead 2-1.

Haaland salvaged a point for Dortmund with a 90th-minute equaliser - but was far from impressed at the final whistle.

The Norway international hotshot was seen handing his shirt to an opposition player before heading straight down the tunnel.

Haaland now has 21 goals in the German league this season but Dortmund are facing a battle to secure a top-four finish.

They currently sit fifth in the table, one place and four points behind Eintracht Frankfurt, who occupy the final Champions League spot.

Haaland has scored a remarkable 49 goals in 49 appearances since joining Dortmund from RB Salzburg.

He previously played under United boss and compatriot Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde.

“When you have had kids and players through as a coach, you follow them and I keep in touch with Erling,” Solskjaer said last month.

“It’s great to see him become the player he has become and [how] he works to improve all the time. He’s a Dortmund player – we just wish him well there and let’s see what life will bring later on.

“You know I can’t speak about Erling because he’s at Borussia Dortmund, and it’s disrespectful to talk too much about it, apart from that I know him and I speak to him. Who wasn’t interested in him a year ago? Everybody would say you would take the best players in the world and Erling is a top player.”

City boss Pep Guardiola was asked about Haaland this week, saying: “The numbers speak for themselves. He is one of the best strikers in the world right now for his age. I know the quality of this player.”

Asked about City's reported interest in Haaland, Guardiola added: “He is a player for Borussia Dortmund.

"I don’t like when people talk about our players, so he’s a player for Borussia Dortmund. You understand I cannot answer this question.”
