Erling Haaland will likely be the subject of more than one approach from a major club in the summer transfer window.
The Norwegian has netted 19 goals in 17 matches for Dortmund this season and is widely considered to be one of the best prospects in world football.
In England, Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with the forward in the past, although the Red Devils have prioritised signing Jadon Sancho, and Jurgen Klopp's side aren't blessed with huge funds at the moment.
Chelsea haven't previously been linked with the forward, but a report in The Athletic claims the Blues are ready to break the bank to land the Norwegian.
This extravagant payout would follow last summer's splurge where Chelsea spent an eye-watering £220million on new recruits, including Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

Haaland has a release clause in his contract, which enables clubs to sign him for £66.6m.
The catch is that this clause cannot be triggered until 2022, meaning if clubs want to jump the gun and sign him now they have to pay a premium.
There are pros and cons with this of course. The obvious con being Dortmund could demand double the money for their prized asset.
And the obvious pro being you won't have to get involved in the 2022 bidding war and risk missing out on signing football's hottest prospect.

As aforementioned, Liverpool aren't blessed with funds at the moment, and may not even be in a position to sign Haaland for £66.6m in 2022.
But because the clause can't be triggered yet, simply put, Liverpool are out of the race.
Chelsea, on the other hand, seemingly have money to burn, and are said to be very interested in splashing the cash on Haaland, even if they do have to pay a premium.
And unless another club shows willing to pay more than Haaland's 2022 release clause, Chelsea may already have this signing in the bag.
