Erling Haaland discusses transfer talk amid Manchester United speculation

Red Bull Salzburg prospect Erling Braut Haaland has said he is bored of speculation surrounding his future at the Austrian club.

Haaland has been linked with a move to Manchester United as a result of his rapid rise at Salzburg, where he has scored 18 goals in 11 appearances this season.

However, the 19-year-old is fed up of answering questions about where his future may lie.

“The media attention is huge. It’s good pressure," Haaland said after scoring in Salzburg's 4-3 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield earlier this week.

“The club is good at shielding me a little, but I hope it will be more shielding in the future.

"It will be difficult, but we will try. I want to be shielded.

“It’s boring. I’m bored now. On a scale of 1 to 10 [of how bored]? 9.9.”

Speaking in an interview with Norwegian TV channel TV 2 last month, Haaland praised United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before revealing his desire to test himself in the Premier League.

"He has had a huge impact on my life, both as a person and as a trainer," Haaland said of Solskjaer, who coached him at Molde.

"He won the Champions League and was an incredibly good player. He has taught me a lot.

"I have dreamed of playing for the best clubs in the world my whole life, and I especially like English football."
