Erling Haaland breaks silence amid transfer links to Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United

Erling Haaland has played down talk of leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, amid links to Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.

Along with Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe, the Norway international is one of two players who have been heavily linked with moves to the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Meanwhile, The Manchester Evening News reported last week that Manchester United are also keen on signing Haaland.

The report stated that the 20-year-old is the dream striker transfer target for United and that the club are willing to explore whether he could be signed from Dortmund in the summer window.

With that said, Haaland has been on Chelsea's radar for several months and reports in the national media in recent weeks have claimed that they will do everything they can to sign him this summer.

Any deal to lure the striker away from Dortmund is likely to cost more than £100million as his release clause of €75m (£64m) does not kick in until next summer.

But Haaland has broken his silence regarding his future, insisting he is happy in Germany and also distanced himself from comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

"I still have three years of contract. I am not upset about that," he said at a press conference whilst away on international duty with Norway, as per Cope.

"The media are the ones who write about it, I don't focus on those things. I want to improve every day.

"Ronaldo and Messi ... I don't need to talk about them, they are the best of all time.

"They are still very far away, so to speak. somehow."

The bad news for Chelsea and Man United is that Haaland has reportedly already decided on a dream transfer to Real Madrid in the future.

According to Marca, it will just depend on where his agent Mino Raiola decides is the best fit for the striker after leaving Dortmund.

Whether that happens this summer or next remains to be seen.
