Erling Braut Haaland, the hottest prospect in world football right now, reveals Swansea City footballing idol

Erling Braut Haaland continued his remarkable season by scoring a brace in Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

The Norwegian forward - who was born in Leeds - seemingly ripped up the rule book at RB Salzburg before moving to Germany during the January transfer window.

Haaland's brace against PSG took his tally to 11 goals in his seven matches for his new club, with the starlet netting a staggering 35 goals in all competitions so far in the 2019/20 campaign.

And it seems the 19-year-old has a pretty strong connection to Swansea City.

It has emerged that the son of former Leeds and Manchester City player Alf-Inge Haaland was a huge admirer of former Swan Michu during his childhood.

Haaland has posted several pictures on to his official Instagram during the course of his fledgling career to date. And on numerous occasions, he has tagged himself as Spaniard Michu.

Former Swansea forward Michu admits he's flattered by the news of Haaland's admiration for him, adding that he believes the youngster will become a global star.

"It's an honour. I think he's going to be a world-class player," Michu told Spanish media outlet AS.

"He's a much better player than me."
