President Isaias Afwerki of the Republic of Eritrea received in the capital Asmara on Thursday visiting Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
At the outset of the meeting, Al-Jubeir conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to the Eritrean president, SPA said.
During the audience, they reviewed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Eritrea, ways of enhancing them in all fields in a way that best serves the aspiration of the two friendly countries, in addition to the latest developments at the regional and international levels and issues of mutual concern, the agency said.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, Minister of State for African Countries Affairs; Ambassador Khalid bin Musaed Al-Anqari, Director General of the foreign minister's office; and Dr. Abdullah Al-Shareef, Charge d'Affaires of the Saudi embassy in Asmara, it added.
