A talented piano player wanted to make sure her gran had a birthday to remember and although she couldn't get to hug her, Erin Fitzpatrick gathered a band of helpers to wheel her piano round to her garden and play her Happy Birthday.
Erin, 14, and her mum Lisa hatched a plan to make sure gran Karen, who has Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), had a day to remember for her 59th birthday.
The condition means former Superdrug manager Karen, is self isolating and like so many others during the Coronovirus outbreak, but being housebound didn't stop her family making her day special.
So she asked mum Lisa to help her plan a surprise for her gran and because Karen is such a fan of Erin's piano playing, they knew there was only one thing to do - get the piano round to her front garden and give her her very own private concert.
Karen, of Christie Gardens, was overwhelmed when she heard the piano tunes coming from her garden and it wasn't long before the neighbours enjoyed some of Erin's songs too.
As well as Happy Birthday, the piano playing teenager belted out a few of her gran's favourite tunes for her to enjoy too.
Erin's mum Lisa said: "We couldn't let mum's birthday go by without doing something, tomorrow is never promised.
"Forget the saying you only live once, that's lies, you live everyday so enjoy it!
"My mum loves to hear Erin play and we just knew we had to do something, so when Erin suggested playing her piano for her gran, we rallied the troops and wheeled the piano round, it certainly lifted everyone's spirits for the day, happy birthday mum!"
