Erin weakens to a tropical depression: NHC

(Reuters) - Erin, the fifth tropical storm of the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season, has weakened to a tropical depression and is moving north-northwestward, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.

The system is located about 190 miles (305 km) southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (55 km/h), the Miami-based weather forecaster said.
