Welcome to the United On My Mind daily round-up, where we take a look at some of the best Manchester United stories that you might have missed.
Despite Ralf Rangnick getting off to a good start to life in Manchester, there's still plenty of speculation around who will replace him next summer as Erik ten Hag continues to be linked with the post.
A number of United's current players are rumoured to want out of Old Trafford, and Edinson Cavani has reportedly made a decision on whether he will stay at the club.
And finally, as United continue their search for a new midfielder, a France U21 international has emerged as a potential target.
Erik ten Hag 'jumps queue' for United job
The Mirror are reporting that United have identified Ten Hag as the man to bring the glory days back to Old Trafford.
A whole host of managers have been linked with the United job in recent weeks, with Rangnick expected to take up a consultancy role at the end of the season.
Mauricio Pochettino and Ten Hag are two of the names to have been most heavily linked with the role and it seems the latter is now the favourite to be appointed.
My opinion: I'm a big fan of Ten Hag and so I'd absolutely love it if he came to United at the end of the season.
A lot obviously depends on how successful Rangnick is, but if United stick to their plan they should be thinking about a move for the Dutchman in the summer.
Cavani 'wants' January exit
Cavani is adored by the Old Trafford faithful but it seems he may be making an exit in the near future.
Mundo Deportivo report (via Sport Witness ) that Cavani remains keen on joining Barcelona in the upcoming January transfer window, despite the club recently dropping out of the Champions League.
The report claims Cavani dreams of playing at Camp Nou and isn't put off by their ongoing woes both on and off the field.

My opinion: I've said many times that I want Cavani to stay at United, but I don't see it happening because he keeps getting linked with a move away.
He's been a great servant to the club and so if he wants to play regular football elsewhere then I don't think we should stand in his way.
United eye Marseille midfielder
Manchester United are reportedly considering a January move for Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara.
United have been linked with a host of holding midfielders over the past few months and The Athletic now report that the 22-year-old is the latest to emerge as a potential target.
Kamara is said to be attracting interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona, having previously rejected deadline day moves to Newcastle and Wolves.
My opinion: Every United fan knows how badly we need to sign a midfielder and so I'm all for us looking to attract an exciting young talent to the club.
Rangnick's ability to nurture players and get the best out of them is well-documented and so the prospect of working under the German should be an exciting one for Kamara.
