Erik ten Hag explains Antony selection for Manchester United vs Arsenal in Premier League

Manchester United's Erik ten Hag has started Antony against Arsenal on Sunday because of the player's attacking quality.

United have won three consecutive Premier League matches versus Liverpool, Southampton and Leicester and Ten Hag picked the same starting line up for each of those matches, but the Dutchman changed his approach with his selection for Arsenal.

Although Ten Hag has named Casemiro and Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench, new £85million signing Antony has been chosen to start on the right-wing, with Jadon Sancho starting on the opposite side and Marcus Rashford playing through the middle.

Ten Hag was asked about his team selection ahead of kick-off and he explained his decision to give Antony his debut.

"If you let them play that's a problem, so we need to really be good pressing and pressing the back line of Arsenal. Yes [biggest test], but also for them, that's clear. It's a big test, but the biggest test I think was Liverpool.

"Now this is another test, different styles and you have to be good with what I've said, the pressing has to be good."
