Erik ten Hag called out Marcus Rashford and Antony for their missed chances after Manchester United drew at Chelsea.
United went behind at Stamford Bridge late in the second half, with Jorginho converting from the spot after Scott McTominay fouled Armando Broja. It looked as though the Red Devils would be made to pay for their wastefulness in front of goal, only for Casemiro to head in off the post to save a point.
Cristiano Ronaldo sat out the game, with United leaving the veteran out of the squad after his reaction to being benched against Tottenham in midweek. Ten Hag has made clear what needs to happen before Ronaldo returns, but those tasked with leading United's charge were unable to deliver three points.
United started strongly, forcing Graham Potter into a change of formation before half-time. However, after the manner of the late comeback, Ten Hag spoke of positives and negatives with the missed chances fresh in his mind.
"I have to make a big compliment to my team," Ten Hag said after the game. "To fight back with a fourth game in 10 days, you see the spirit and how they deal with setbacks. Really good.
"First half Rashford had two big chances, Antony one against one. You have to score goals in such moments because in top games three chances is massive. You have to score."

"We dictated the game and I am happy with that," Ten Hag continued. "If you concede a goal late it is difficult.
"Eight minutes before half time we had some troubles but defence in the second half we didn't have troubles. The second half we didn't really create big chances, but also Chelsea didn't.
"I think it is a fair result. I would have been disappointed if we had gone without a point because we didn't deserve that. At the end of a tough week to come here, you bring the point home."
The late goal from Casemiro meant United were able to extend their unbeaten run to four league games since losing 6-3 to Manchester City at the start of October. They sit fifth in the table, remaining a single point behind Chelsea, and haven't conceded in open play in three games.
Next up for Ten Hag's team is a Europa League game against Sheriff at Old Trafford on Thursday, with only a point needed for the club to book their place in the knockout stages of the competition. After that comes a Premier League game against West Ham, United's last league match at Old Trafford before they break for the World Cup.
