Here is your Tottenham morning digest for Saturday, November 7.
Lucas Moura form gives Mourinho easy decision to make
Lucas Moura’s form in the Europa League has given Jose Mourinho a simple solution to his left-sided problem.
Spurs have several options on the right, with Gareth Bale, Erik Lamela, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas all natural in that position.
But Lucas has, at the start of the season, featured more regularly on the left flank, impressing again on Thursday night as he scored and provided an assist against Ludogorets.
The Brazilian’s performances should make life easier for Mourinho, giving him another option on the left flank.
Lamela takes to social media after injury news
Erik Lamela has sent a message to Tottenham fans after it was confirmed that he will face a spell on the sidelines with an injury.
Jose Mourinho confirmed that the Argentine has “a little problem” and that he will miss this weekend’s Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion.
Taking to social media on Friday, Lamela wrote: “I have a problem on my foot and I have to be out of the field for a short time to fix it.
“I'm already working to get back in the best shape I can.”
Zidane argument led to Reguilon’s Real Madrid exit
Sergio Reguilon originally left Real Madrid after an argument with manager Zinedine Zidane, according to El Confidencial .
The incident reportedly happened while the left-back was playing for the club’s B team.
Reguilon was then loaned out to Logrones in 2015, spending two seasons with the third tier side.
Last season, the 23-year-old was on loan at La Liga side Sevilla, where he caught the eye and earned his summer move to Spurs.
The transfer did include a buy-back clause, so perhaps Zidane is not entirely against the possibility of reuniting with Reguilon.
