DJ Erick Morillo has died.
The musician, known for his 90s hit I Like To Move It, was 49.
His body was found this morning, reports TMZ.
Law enforcement sources told the US site that the music producer's body was found in Miami Beach.
The circumstances surrounding his death are not yet known, but officers say they received a 911 call at 10.42am, with detectives quickly heading to the scene.
Erick was best know for producing electro dance track I Like To Move It, which he released in 1993 under the pseudonym Reel 2 Real.
His death comes just weeks after he was arrested in Miami on sexual battery charges.
The Colombian-American DJ and music producer had been working with his accuser at a private party on Star Island in December 2019, before returning to his home alongside another woman.
Florida based Local 10 News reported that the victim gave a statement to police detailing what she says she remembers from the night of the alleged incident.
According to the arrest report, the victim told detectives that DJ Morillo "made several advances towards her, some sexual in nature, but she refused all of his attempts."
The report also claimed the woman recalled being intoxicated and sought out a room to sleep in alone in the DJ’s home.
However, the arrest report also stated the alleged victim claimed that she recalled "waking up nude on the bed, with Mr Morillo standing on the side of the bed also nude."
DJ Morillo denied the accusations against him and had turned himself in on August 6.
He was scheduled to appear before court on Friday.
As well as DJ-ing, Morillo produced music under a number of aliases including Ministers de la Funk, The Dronez, RAW, Smooth Touch, RBM, Deep Soul, Club Ultimate and Li'l Mo Ying Yang.
He has also performed at venues in Las Vegas and music festivals including Creamfields.
