Eric Weddle shares photo of himself in Rams uniform as a kid

Eric Weddle opted to forego retirement after being released by the Baltimore Ravens last week, returning for at least one more season. He signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams on Friday, returning to Southern California where he grew up and spent the first nine years of his NFL career.

It’s a great move for both sides, and as it turns out, Weddle was always destined to play for the Rams. On Sunday, he shared a photo on Twitter of himself wearing a Rams uniform as a kid.

Of course, the great Jim Everett wore No. 11 with the Rams, throwing 142 touchdown passes during his tenure with the team. He chimed in on Twitter, responding to Weddle’s tweet.

Wade Phillips also shared a tweet of his own, saying it was “meant to be.”
