Eric The Trainer dead: Celebrity personal trainer died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving

Eric Fleishman, a celebrity personal trainer who worked with the likes of Def Leppard and Kirstie Alley, has died at the age of 53.

The fitness fanatic, also known as Eric The Trainer, died suddenly at his home in Glendale, California during Thanksgiving. His cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

"We are heartbroken to share that Eric Phillip Fleishman passed away unexpectedly on the morning of November 24, 2022," a statement from his Instagram account read.

It continued: "His wife Alysia, son, parents, and close friends/family are deeply saddened by this event. Eric touched many lives for the better. He was a beacon of light, hope, and love.

"This loss is devastating, and we appreciate your thoughts and prayers."

Fans were also asked to send Eric's family photos, videos and stories to help them celebrate his life.

"Our hope is to assemble these contributions for a Celebration of Life ceremony in the near term. The date and time of this event will be forthcoming shortly," the statement said.

Tributes poured in for the TV personality, with Big Time Rush star Logan Henderson commenting: "Feel blessed to have met a real life superhero…love you Eric. Thank you for everything."

Beverly Hills, 90210 actor Jason Priestley wrote: "Eric was truly the brightest of lights. So shocked and saddened by this. I cannot imagine how you are feeling Alysia. Sending you and Henry love and light."

Comedian Stephen Glickman simply added: "Devastated."

Throughout his career, Eric worked with a number of famous faces including Patrick Schwarzenegger and Fall Out Boy.

Just weeks ago, he had been spotted at fitness facility The Club at Cricket Square in the Cayman Islands.

"We've arrived in Grand Cayman @theclubcricketsquare and @coachtimheath has welcomed us with open arms and BIG biceps," he wrote on social media.

His last Instagram post showed him relaxing in round hanging chair. He captioned it: "Loving the relaxing vibes of ISLAND LIFE."

Eric is survived by his wife Alysia and their son Henry.
