Arguably one of the most underrated defensive players in the country last season was Georgia cornerback Eric Stokes.
At 6’1″, Stokes adds considerable size in the UGA defensive backfield, and his 4.3 40-yard-dash time allows him to get to spots quickly all over the gridiron to disrupt the offense and make explosive plays.
Last season, Stokes recorded 16 tackles. He also led the entire nation in forced incompletion percentage as well as allowing just 10 completions for 113 yards throughout the entire campaign.
With a year of experience under his belt, Stokes figures to see an increased workload in the upcoming 2019 season, as Georgia is once again projected to have one of the top defenses in the country.
With his size and blinding speed, Stokes has all of the physical tools to be among the best in the country at his position. After learning the system the last two years, 2019 just might be the year he puts it all together and rises to elite status.
