Eric Reid says his college locker room was better than the Panthers’

Panthers safety Eric Reid has never been shy about sharing his thoughts on controversial issues. That includes the subject of student-athlete compensation, apparently.

This morning on Twitter, Reid shared a post saying that the locker rooms he had at LSU seven years ago were better than the ones Carolina has now. Reid suggested the idea that there’s no money to pay the players is wrong.

Last year, LSU made a reported $86.2 million in football-related revenue, according to Forbes.

Reid is one of four former LSU players on Carolina’s roster. The others are cornerback Donte Jackson, guard Trai Turner and offensive tackle Dillon Gordon.

Update:

Reid has posted some more tweets explaining his thoughts on paying student-athletes. He also said the Panthers locker room is perfectly fine.
