Eric Paschall unexpectedly scratched from lineup against Thunder

With the Warriors hoping to salvage a win on their three-game road trip, they’ll be taking their talents to Oklahoma City on the second night of a back-to-back that saw them lose to the Timberwolves on Friday night.

Unfortunately, they’ll have to try to secure their victory without Eric Paschall.

Prior to the two teams tipping off on Saturday night, Paschall was announced to be missing the contest due to a right hip contusion.

D’Angelo Russell returned to the lineup for the Warriors on Friday night and did so in resounding fashion. The young point guard turned in a career-high 52 points. However, as he bolsters the Warriors’ odds of securing a win or two, the absence of Paschall will hinder the team.

Since Russell and Draymond Green went down for the Warriors last week, Paschall has emerged as one of the Golden State’s alpha scorers. In the four games Paschall started since then, he’s averaged 22.5 points and six rebounds on 48.4% shooting from the field.

As a rookie, he’s still trying to figure some things out, but he already has a good foundation.

Now, Steve Kerr will have to figure out how to win without him in the lineup.
