Eric Gordon, Kenneth Faried questionable for Rockets at Celtics

Hoston Rockets guard Eric Gordon and forward Kenneth Faried are questionable for Sunday afternoon’s game against the Boston Celtics (3:30 p.m. EST), per head coach Mike D’Antoni.

Gordon missed Thursday’s game against the Miami Heat with a sore knee, but said Saturday that the ailment was nothing significant.

“It’s feeling a lot better,” said Gordon. “It was good to take that game off. It was more for precautionary reasons and try to be ready to go against Boston.”

Faried also missed the game against Miami due to a hip injury he suffered Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets. Faried was trying to draw a charge against Miles Bridges when he injured the hip.

Houston might be without guard Gerald Green as the swingman has strep throat and will be listed as questionable. Iman Shumpert will also likely miss the game tomorrow (to be listed as doubtful) with a calf injury.

After being a healthy starter for most of the year for the Sacramento Kings, Shumpert has played a few games for the Rockets this season

Durability has been a problem for Houston all season. Though they have their core trio healthy and back in the lineup (James Harden, Clint Capela, and Chris Paul), they still have a long way to go until they are a healthy roster from the starters to the bench.
