Eric Cantona predicts where Manchester United will finish in the Premier League in 2019/20

After finishing sixth in the Premier League last season, Manchester United fans could be forgiven for setting their expectations low heading into 2019/20.

While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is slowly building a squad full of young players with potential to represent the club for years to come, the lack of signings to immediately make an impact is noticable.

So while fans would be expecting United to challenge for the Premier League title every year, most would concede that getting back into the top four next season is the top priority for Solskjaer and his side.

But Eric Cantona has a different view.

The United legend has taken to Instagram to predict where his old side will finish, and he's aiming high.

The Frenchman posted a picture of himself holding a parrot with the caption: Please repeat after me: "United will be champion this year!" and tagged United's official account.

United will need some improvement to overhaul last year's winners Man City, who narrowly pipped European champions Liverpool to the title by one point.

But Cantona seems confident United will do that under Solskjaer, just as they did four times when he wore the number seven shirt at Old Trafford in his playing days.

Let's hope he's right!
