Eric Cantona Instagram video: Explicit egg clip deleted from Manchester United legend's account

An bizarre explicit clip posted on Eric Cantona's Instagram account has been deleted after it whipped the internet into a frenzy.

The former Manchester United star sent social media into meltdown after he posted a pornographic video on his Instagram page.

The graphic video showed an unidentified man cracking an egg open with his genitals, and was met with widespread outrage, confusion and humour.

The controversial clip has now been deleted from his account and Cantona has offered no explanation.

It is not yet clear whether Instagram is responsible for the removal of the offending item, or whether the 52-year-old himself had a change of heart.

The latest video on Cantona’s Instagram page is now a promotional clip for Soccer Aid 2019, which features the Frenchman wearing a flatcap and Unicef football shirt, and playing with a ball.

Users have seized on the video, which was posted on Tuesday, to question the disappearance of the infamous egg clip.

“Did you delete something?” quipped one user, accompanied by a “crying with laughter” emoji.

While another wrote: “POST IT AGAIN PLEASE”.

The Standard is awaiting comment from Instagram on the reason behind the post's deletion.
