Eric Benét has hit back at mean keyboard warriors who have blasted his ageing appearance.
The R&B and neo soul singer-songwriter, 53, treated fans this week by taking part in a special video where he linked up with singer Tamia, 45, as they performed their 1999 hit Spend My Life With You.
However, a number of trolls were more concerned with Eric's looks than his killer vocals, and after the video went live they took to social media to blast the singer - who first released the song when he was 32 - for his distinguished face.
One typed: "Eric Benet look old af."
Another added: "Is that Eric Benet? He looks old!"
Others echoes: "Tamia sounds great and looks beautiful. How old is Eric Benet?" and "Eric Benet got old. Damn."
Understandably unimpressed by the nasty jibes, Eric ensured he blasted the haters with a scathing tweet.
The Hurricane star mocked the trolls as he wrote: "After my last post, I’m getting a lotta 'Damn what happened to Eric Benèt?' comments.
"Im like 30 years happened nucca!! Lemmie see what yo’ soda drinking, chicken McNugget eatin’ ass look like at 53yrs old!"
Eric's message caused a number of his fans to chuckle as they threw support behind him and praised his handsome looks.
One fan gushed: "Eric Benét is old man fine."
"Not that you need confirmation, but you are doing quite well in the 'everyone stares when he enters the room' department," an admirer added.
A third joined: "He's always been sooo handsome and yes, 53 looks very good on him!"
