Eric Bailly suffers head injury during Manchester United vs Chelsea FA Cup semi-final

Eric Bailly was stretchered off at Wembley Stadium after suffering a head injury during Manchester United's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

Bailly, who started in a three-man defence alongside Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire, suffered a clash of heads with Chelsea's Kurt Zouma in the first half.

Bailly returned to the action, but suffered another blow to the head when he collided with Maguire as the pair tried to challenge Olivier Giroud for the ball.

Maguire and Bailly both needed treatment from medical staff, with the United captain being bandaged up due to a cut on his head.

Bailly suffered a cut on top of his head and slowly walked off the pitch under the guidance of medical staff, though the defender was then laid prone on the turf before being loaded on to a stretcher.

The game was delayed for several minutes while the medics carefully prepared Bailly to be taken away, with referee Mike Dean wanting to avoid the game interfering with the defender getting treatment.
