Eric Bailly slammed for reckless challenge on Marcus Rashford in Man Utd training

Eric Bailly has been slammed for a reckless challenge on Marcus Rashford in training.

Footage from Manchester United's Carrington training ground has emerged showing the players taking part in a Rondo ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash.

Bailly is one of three players in the centre of a circle, tasked with winning the ball back, while Rashford is part of the team looking to retain possession, and stands on the edge.

The clip shows Bailly closing down his United team-mates when suddenly Rashford receives the ball and the defender sprints at him.

Bailly then launches himself off the ground and flies into the Red Devils striker with what appears to be a two-footed challenge.

Fortunately Rashford is able to jump out of the way in time and the Rondo continues.

Reacting to the video on social media, United fans voiced their disappointment in Bailly, with one writing: "This bloke is absolute chaos".

Another said: "Rashford has ankle issues as well," and a third wrote: "He's genuinely tried to kill Rashford and nobody's batted an eyelid.

"He must do this every Rondo and session."

Manchester United are in action at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, where they play host to Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League.

The Red Devils lost to the Turkish outfit away from home, and will be keen to exact revenge this time round.
